"Big Love" gets NO LOVE
So upon hearing last night that the HBO series "Big Love" is airing sacred temple acts in this next weeks episode has me sick to my stomach. I saw a photograph of one of the scenes where Barbara, one of the wives is in the celestial room wearing temple clothing that replicates that of what we wear to the T. I am so sickened about what to do and how to respond. The church does not condone boycott's, as I agree to their reaction. But how do we keep something so sacred from airing for the world to see and slander something so sacred to the members of the church and to God himself. God help us. .

nice job meg well said...totally agree with you! it is really sad that we have to endure this sort of thing....it will pass though so continue to stand up for what is right and everything will always be ok. Hope all is well!
ReplyDeleteOh I hear ya. When I saw the picture, it just felt so dark and evil. It was weird. I never write in to things, ever. But I totally did this time. I hate that they did this. It is really, really low.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Shayne told me about it and it makes me down right ill. Why do they feel that they need to mock what is sacred to our religion? We dont mock other religions or take what is sacred to them and spread it all over national television! HBO said, "Sorry we have offended people but we are airing it". They dont care. They hired someone who was once a active member, and had them go into detail about what goes on IN the temple. BIg no no. And now people will be asking, "well what did that mean? what does this mean?" and we cant talk about it as we have made a promise that we will take it outside the temple. This is bull. Yeah I agree... it is down right sickening. It hurts just hearing that someone would go against the church like that, AND that HBO will air it!!!
