Baby Nora has arrived!!!

38 weeks and 1 day pregnant... that is when I went into labor... or so I thought. My water actually broke on Friday and I had no idea. It wasn't a gush of water or anything. They think I slowly leaked it out... weird. So anyways... broken water and my body would not go into labor on its own. The contractions would get to be between 10 to 5 min apart and then just stop! I was so mad. So on Sunday night I thought the hell with it I am going in to the hospital. Good thing I did. I was very lucky that I or baby Nora Mae didn't get an infection or sick from not having any fluid in there. Anyway... after a night on Pitosin (drug from HELL which induces labor and intensifies your contractions) I finally dilated to a 10 and once I got there I pushed twice and boom she was out! Not even two minutes of pushing. It was amazing. Being up all night I had no energy to push. Little Nora Mae  or Nora "Bean" or Beanie is what we nicknamed her came out at 7:21 AM weighing 6 lbs and 6 oz and 18 inches tall... I mean short :) She is a beautiful angel and I am so excited to get the heck out of this hospital and in my own comfort of home. We are so blessed to have her and Porter in our family. What beautiful children. Nora was a sport... she is very swollen around her eyes and nose but her head came out in perfect form ;) what a trooper. Happy Birthday Nora Bean! Can't wait to take you home to meet Porter!
And yes I had an epidural. I was going to go without, but being on Pitocin, my doc insisted I didn't go without. I went into labor at 9 PM with mild contractions and made it to 5:30 AM before I caved and got my epidural. So I am quite proud of myself ;) Once they put it in, I hated it. It still hurt like hell but I couldn't move my legs. So I begged them to take it out. But the nurse was horrible and never asked the anesthesiologist to come back in to remove it. But Nora was born not even 2 hours later so I had to suffer with it in.
