Anniversary and Latest Projects

Sorry I haven't blogged recently... I have been busy busy. So on January 17th Kyle and I celebrated our 4th anniversary... actually it was a whole weekend celebration since our anniversary fell on a Sunday. That Saturday, Kyle and I ate at The Roof....I will not give a recommendation for the food as we could have had better from Up-Chuck-A-Rama. It really was not good at all.... But the view was romantic and being with my husband, just him and I, was all worth it. Its nice to have an evening to ourselves.

Then, in recent homemaking projects... I have started Sophie's quilt (which I will not post pictures of until it is complete...its being quilted right now by my quilt lady, then I just have to bind the edges). I have also made shoes for Sophie and a pin cushion for my pins since those tomato ones are so hideous... and a recipe card holder since I have been baking and cooking much more these days.... so here are the pics.

The fabric I used for the pin cushion is left over fabric from Sophie's quilt. I am going to make many more of these because they only take like thirty minutes to make... Same with the shoes.

On the recipe card holder, I made it double sided. The pattern on the other side is of the striped paper I made the large marble magnet with... It was fun! My neighbor Janessa got the idea from some craft blog that got the supplies from Wood Connection...
In more recent news I am now 21 weeks and one day. I am working out almost every morning on the elliptical and eating as healthy as I can. I have gained 7 pounds but surprisingly am still in all of my clothes! Kyle says its because I slept so much the first trimester and lost a bunch of muscle mass but since working out I have built it back up. The only thing that has grown is my belly and my boobs... Bigger boobs is always a plus.. I think I am up 2 cup sizes. From an A to a C. So not bad. Well, that is the latest with the Cross Family. We have doubled in size in the last 2 years. Amazing. Can't wait for little Sophie to get here and meet her brother. BTW Porter has four molars in now. He started cutting them a few weeks ago. The doc says usually molars dont come in til 18 months... but Porter has done everything early... Came early, walked early, ate food early... the only thing he hasn't mastered is talking. But his pediatrician says that is common for boys. They especially lag with potty training :(
