The Luckiest Mom and Wifey in the World

So for Mother's Day this year, I told Kyle not to worry about getting me anything cause we are going to Disneyland in two weeks plus saving up to go to Hawaii with my family. But I think that Kyle being the good husband that he is couldn't pass up this Mother's Day like he accidentally did last year... No, I was not quite a mother last year, but I was pregnant and in the middle of a mild morning sickness. We were back in Maryland visiting Kyle's family and attending his grandmother's funeral :( So Mother's Day wasn't quite Mother's Day for anyone in Kyle's family last year. So anyway, Friday morning I got a knock on my front door. Thinking it was a solicitor at first, I ignored it. Then decided to see who it was. I opened the door and this is what I found.... ( yes, I know I need to get started on my gardening... its kinda bare)
Not quite the packaging you would think flowers would come in. I almost thought it was for the wrong house thinking that Kyle wasn't doing anything for me. So I took them out, arranged them and they looked like this.

I almost didn't see the card on the front of the box. I don't want to share what it said, because it made me cry. And moments and feelings like that shouldn't be boasted , but kept private. So anyway...
Then, this morning, after a day of the flowers absorbing the yummy flower food and fresh water they looked like this....

And below is what a happy mommy and wifey looks like:

and here is how the luckiest and happiest mommy and wifey in the world looks. I truly am so lucky to have such an adorable loving son and husband who let me know how grateful they are for all the cleaning, cooking, and laundry I do and the easiest 8 1/2 months of pregnancy and short 9 hours of labor I had to endure :) I love my boys and wouldn't trade all the riches in the world for them!

Thank you Porter and Kyle, I love you boys more than anything!

  1. Oh my gosh, look at those baby blues! He is so cute. Well you both are, but I thought he'd have brown eyes for sure. I love that he has your eyes. You look like you are glowing. :)
