Who needs romance novels...

So I woke up this morning and that is what I found on the kitchen table. My heart melted. Kyle actually cut out the hearts by hand! Along with the sweetest card ever and my favorite chocolate. Kyle is very far from romantic, but I wouldn't have him any other way. When he does something like this with more thought it makes it so much more meaningful than a big expensive gift. And I will remember this forever. Along with this he gave me a card which was funny, but his own personal thoughts on the card made me cry. I am the luckiest wife in the world. I know a lot of wives think that... but I truly am and I am so blessed to have him as my eternal companion... yes honey, you are stuck with me forever! I love you more than anything, you are everything to me!

For Breakfast I cooked our new favorite french toast recipe... "Fluffy French Toast" it is not just any french toast... its "fluffy" and very delicious! I'll post the recipe later on if you are lucky... I do have to keep the good ones to myself :)

After an afternoon of resting, I treated Kyle to a Valentine's Day candelight dinner (which by the way the candles are a no wax drip candle... the wax evaporates!) of Steak and Crab... yes the steak is small because I got four instead of just two. The crab was de-lish :) But the best part was the sparkling cider that Kyle got as part of my Valentine's Day Treat :)

Kyle was in charge of dessert... well the first half :) Doesn't it look delicious!

So that is almost it for our Valentine's Day festivities. I want my hub to know how much I love him. Not only today, but everyday. Kyle you are the greatest husband and father. Our son and myself could only call ourselves so blessed to have you in our lives.

Love,
Your Wifey

  1. Omigosh, that is so cute!! Kyle is awesome! Looks like you ate some GREAT food that day too :) You HAVE to post the recipe btw. I love your recipes! Share! :) I made Apple Dumplings yesterday night and everyone loved them (we had dinner with my sis and her husband, and my sister-in-law who was visiting from Chicago) Anyway, but I think I like them with the "wrong" Pillsbury rolls you made them with the first time though--what kind were they? Anyway, Glad you had a great day! You can also use my plates any time :)

  2. Holy hannah. You two put everyone to shame! I love that two were modestly extravagent in a home-made way. I hate hearing things like, "Well first the hubby-love took me to the spa for a facial, mani-pedi, massage, new hair, blah, blah and then to La Caille, and then he showered me -literally- with 4,000 roses!" You two really went all out, but in a way that it doesn't make me want to puke. Instead it just makes me want to copy. Very well done. Bravo.
